LJ Hatch, originally from Shawnee, Kansas, is at the forefront of The LAB KC, which is an innovative player development program designed to redefine how athletes cultivate their skills. After graduating from Mill Valley High School in 2013, he further honed his abilities at both Johnson County Community College and New Mexico State University. He went on to sign as an un-drafted free agent with the Colorado Rockies, where he reached AAA in both 2021 and 2022 during his six-season tenure with the Rockies. In 2023, he played a crucial role in helping the Kansas City Monarchs secure the American Association championship title. After the 2023 season, he made the important decision to retire from playing and transition into a dedicated coaching role. Utilizing his extensive game knowledge and an unwavering passion for developing young talent, Hatch now employs cutting-edge technology at The LAB KC to effectively assist aspiring players in enhancing their skills as proficient hitters and dependable infielders.
